Infra: Govt Moots New Metro Rail Between Noida-Greater Noida
The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday announced that a 29.5-km Metro rail route will come up between Boraki and Noida City Centre to link Noida and Greater Noida.
Chief Secretary Jawed Usmani said the new Metro route has been necessitated to decongest the city roads, increase connectivity and smoothen traffic. Work on the proposed line was likely to be completed by 2017, he said.
He also said that a total of Rs.5,000 crore would be spent on the ambitious Metro rail link.

NOIDA: The fate of Noida Metro Rail Company (NMRC) will be decided on July 16 in Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh chief secretary will hold a meeting to review the proposal and, if the state government approves it, the matter will be put before the Centre to expedite the formation of NMRC.

GREATER NOIDA: In an effort to expedite development of areas falling on both sides of the Yamuna Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority officials held a review meeting on Friday. During the meeting, status of power and other infrastructure projects and farmer issues related with land acquisition were discussed. Time-frames for completion of several projects were also fixed.
