Greater Noida Set For 2 New Metro Routes
NOIDA: The Noida Authority is set to finalize the detailed project report (DPR) for two new Metro routes in March. The two routes, collectively measuring around 27.5 km, are likely to come up at a combined cost of about Rs 5,500 crore and will bring Greater Noida and Noida Extension closer to Delhi.
CM to Unveil 7,000cr Projects on Apr 11
NOIDA/GREATER NOIDA: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will unveil infrastructure projects worth nearly Rs 7,500 crore in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway on April 11. The virtual flag-off will be beamed live from Lucknow via video conferencing. The simulated laying of foundation stones and dedication of projects to the public will be telecast live at the Gautam Budh University in Greater Noida, in the presence of senior officials of the three authorities.

NOIDA: In what will benefit thousands of commuters, three new underpasses are coming up in the city as part of the Noida Authority’s efforts to ease congestion at major traffic junctions.
First Prepaid Auto Booth In Noida Set To Start Operations
NOIDA: Noida Authority is in the process of inaugurating the city’s first prepaid auto booth. This, they hope, will ensure last-mile-connectivity and end corruption and harassment by auto-rickshaws. The booth took nearly two years to build, after it was first proposed by the Authority in 2013.
Smart Traffic Signal On Trial Run In Noida
Often we find ourselves waiting at a red light when there are no other vehicles in sight. Soon, Intelligent Traffic signal will manage traffic on all the important intersections in the city. The signal will automatically turn green the moment it will sense heavy vehicular movement on a specific stretch and turn red in case of no vehicles.
Delhi-Noida Link Road To Be Signal Free Soon
An underpass on the Delhi-Noida Link road will soon be constructed as the Noida authority has finally given its nod to the project. This underpass is expected to give thousands of commuters a smooth, signal free connectivity to Noida from Delhi and vice-versa.
600 CCTV Cameras To Monitor Crime In Noida
NOIDA: Noida Authority has decided to put the city under 24×7 surveillance by installing CCTV cameras in various areas
The Noida Authority will install 600 CCTV cameras as a measure to control crime. Sandeep Chandra, Noida’s Traffic cell in-charge, said, “This is for the first time that such a project is being carried out in UP, so it’s very important for us. Installing CCTV cameras in all the identified areas is our prime focus. The installation process will begin in two months.”
Smart System For E-Way Traffic From Next Week
NOIDA: From February 10, the 25km-long Noida-Greater Noida expressway will have a fully functional intelligent traffic management system (ITMS) to monitor traffic and make movement safe for commuters.
Gr Noida Metro To Have Hi-Tech, Green Stations
NOIDA: The Noida-Greater Noida Metro link will have a total of 78 coaches (26 trains of three coaches each) instead of 44 as was earlier planned and all stations on the route will have platform screen doors for increased security at station platforms.
Gr. Noida Plant To Supply Solar Power At 8 Per Unit
GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida Authority on Wednesday set the tariff for solar power produced from its new 1MW plant in the city at Rs 8/unit.
Officials said the plant will generate roughly 5,000 units of electricity daily and will help meet the target of generating renewable energy. “Power generated by the plant will be sold at Rs 8/unit. The need of the hour is to tap more renewable energy sources that are available locally,” said Rama Raman, CEO of the Noida and Greater Noida Authorities.
