Buses From Noida To Rural Areas From Today
NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has decided to run 10 buses starting Wednesday to improve connectivity between Noida and rural areas. The buses will run from Noida Depot in Sector 35 to Dankaur, Rabupura, Jewar and Tappal.
Jewar Airport Is Not About Politics, Says Mahesh Sharma
Many see Union Cabinet approval’s for a second airport in the National Capital Region at Jewar, about 100 km from New Delhi, as the BJP’s political strategy in Uttar Pradesh ahead of next assembly elections and some call it a political victory for Civil Aviation Minister Mahesh Sharma.
However, Sharma plays down the political buzz around Jewar airport saying, “It’s a long pending demand addressed in nick of time. At times politics is not everything.”
Speaking to Mail Today, Sharma, who is an MP from Gautam Budh Nagar, said, “I am a public servant working in the larger interest of the national civil aviation sector and the consumers linked to it. There is nothing like political victory or defeat in such public-centric infrastructure projects. It has been a long pending demand and how long eight crore population in the NCR will have to depend on one airport in New Delhi, which three-four hour drive away.”
Pact Signed For Atudy of Jewar Metro
GREATER NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Monday, for a feasibility study to be carried out followed by a detailed project report (DPR), for the proposed track between Greater Noida and Jewar. The 38km Metro route will be a link between Knowledge Park II in Greater Noida and Jewar, which falls in the YEIDA area. The civil aviation ministry had last week cleared the proposal for a second international airport in the NCR, likely to be built in Jewar.

Experts believe the airport has huge potential to boost property demand in the area. Till now, both domestic and international companies have usually preferred Gurgaon over Noida because it’s nearer to the Delhi airport.
